Prenatal
Prenatal appointments involve going over valuable information like pain management techniques to utilize during labor, rebozo techniques for relaxation and baby's positioning, the stages of labor and what to expect with each, common interventions and the pros and cons of each, formulating a birth plan, discussing how to choose a care provider (if you haven't already), and how to set yourself up for a successful labor, birth, and postpartum. The Birth Bundle includes one prenatal appointment.
Labor and Birth
Labor and Birth support are crucial in any labor, no matter how you birth your baby. Labor and birth support include things like: assisting in position changes to ease discomfort and progress labor, advising birth partners with hands-on ways they can be involved, reasoning through decision making if we come to a bump in the road, advocating for your decisions if you are unable to, encouraging a calming, inviting environment to keep your mind and body in laborland, ensuring you are eating, drinking, and resting in labor (SO important!), emotional, physical, and spiritual support during labor and directly postpartum, and encouragement, reminders, and physical affirmations that you are doing amazing - because I know you will. Free access to a TENS unit is available, if desired, as well as essential oil aromatherapy. The Birth Bundle includes support from active labor until up to two hours after birth.
Postpartum
Postpartum is the most special time. You're getting to know this beautiful new human, and they're getting to know this big, beautiful world. But in the bliss and beauty of the newborn bubble is older siblings, dishes, laundry, meal planning, visitors, AND healing from birthing a baby. This is not the time to be supermom. This is the time to cuddle your baby, and accept that someone else can take care of all of that while you rest.
My postpartum support includes me - a willing servant wanting to ensure the most seamless transition to this new stage of motherhood. That could look like taking an older sibling to a park for a bit, cleaning the kitchen and doing dishes, catching up on laundry, holding baby if mama needs to rest, helping mama and baby get into a routine, or holding space for mama to discuss her birth story or struggles in motherhood. I can help with baby-wearing comfort and safety, and you will have direct access to me for up to six weeks postpartum for any questions or concerns. The Birth Bundle includes one postpartum home visit.

The Birth Bundle includes a prenatal appointment to ensure you have all of the information and preparation you need for a successful birth, labor and birth support from active labor until up to two hours after birth, and one postpartum home visit. I do offer additional prenatal appointments, and well as continued postpartum doula support, should that be something you would need. My bundle is completely customizable to meet your specific needs, so please reach out if you have any questions!
Virtual
Virtual support is extremely customizable but includes things like: phone/text support prenatally and for 6 weeks postpartum, a prenatal Zoom meeting to discuss/formulate a birth plan and preferences and discussion of pain management techniques for labor, and call/text/Zoom support for mama and birth partner while in labor, if desired. Virtual support is a great option for those not local to DFW, those needing access to information or resources, or those who could benefit from having a birth-obsessed sounding board!

Sibling Doula
If you have older children that will need tending to during your labor and birth, a sibling doula is for you! As a sibling doula I am able to explain to your children - in age appropriate terms - what is happening during labor and birth, answer questions they may have about the process or experience, and do childcare including getting them meals, diapering, and entertaining them during your birth. A sibling doula is especially beneficial for home or birth center births where you may want your children available to you, but cannot be responsible for their caretaking while in labor. If you do not have friends or family near by that can help with older children, or who may not wish to be "on-call" during all hours of the day and night, a sibling doula is the perfect solution for you.
